2023 Annual Business Report for Workforce Solutions & the Workforce Innovation Board of Ramsey County Released

The 2023 Annual Business Report for the WIB and Workforce Solutions has been released. This report showcases the steadfast leadership of workforce board members, the dedication of our staff, and the invaluable partnerships we have established within our community. Together, we have worked diligently to create meaningful impact and foster a thriving workforce ecosystem. The report includes highlights on our:

• Projects and initiatives.
• Success stories.

 Despite a challenging labor market landscape, Workforce Solutions successfully assisted more than 9,800 job seekers in 2023. While most were served through traditional county-funded workforce programs, 3,554 residents benefited from Workforce Solutions' Career Services, accessible through Career Labs, phone consultations, or online platforms. Nearly half of our program participants either secured employment placements or engaged in training opportunities and many continue to engage with us. A wide majority of the individuals and families benefiting from our programs reside within the city of Saint Paul.  

In addition, Workforce Solutions, through a co-investment from the city, implemented additional innovative programming funded by the American Rescue Plan Act including Earn and Learn programs and a Driver’s License Academy, serving hundreds of residents. Lastly, Workforce Solutions in partnership with the WIB, delivered a robust menu of inclusive employer resources for businesses including a new Inclusive Employer Toolkit.
