Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components using engineering drawings, build sheets, and Bills of Materials
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, gas, and diesel systems
- Perform final assembly, including wiring, lighting, decals, hoods, and customer-specific configurations
- Install and route hydraulic lines, fill systems, and prepare equipment for testing
- Read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate assembly
- Test completed equipment to verify quality and performance
- Make assembly improvements and communicate process changes with production leadership
- Mentor and train Mechanic Assembler I team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly or heavy equipment experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical, gas, and diesel systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or Associate Degree in Automotive, Diesel, or Heavy Equipment Repair
- Previous experience assembling heavy equipment or industrial machinery
