The Delivery Driver is responsible for completing assigned deliveries and pick up of merchandise, and assisting with shipping and receiving responsibilities. Provides top service to customers at business sites. This position is home Every Night!
A Delivery Driver at OSC would:
Pull and scan orders for the day to load trucks with cylinders and materials for delivery route.
Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner following all traffic rules.
Drive standard route in metro area of about 50-100 miles/day and deliver merchandise to customers in a timely manner.
Serve as a liaison to sales and other managers, reports on progress, communicates to appropriate personnel to enhance customer service/support.
Unload items and process paperwork at customer locations.
Offload empty cylinders at terminal.
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Skills:
High School diploma or equivalency.
3-5 years of truck driving experience desired.
Class A license with manual transmission and Hazardous Material Endorsements required, Tanker Endorsement preferred.
Basic knowledge of gases, cryogenics i.e. pressure and compatibility preferred.
Industry experience such as handling cylinders is desired.
Effective oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience.
Must be organized, have good reasoning skills, math aptitude and time management skills.
