With more than 40 years of experience, Minnesota Children’s Museum is a leading producer of exhibit rentals and has the largest collection of children’s traveling exhibits on the road. Our exhibits provide organizations with highly immersive, educational experiences that boost attendance, engage visitors and spark learning. The Traveling Exhibit intern will assist the Traveling Exhibits team to expand our reach and support customers.
PAY: $15.75 per hour plus free parking or bus pass
SCHEDULE: Requires 120 hours during the internship session (10-12 hours per week). Some on-site hours required.

Assist with developing social media content for Traveling Exhibits. Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability. Develop new strategies for increasing engagement. Research current Museum and cultural organizations planning for Traveling Exhibits. Support Traveling Exhibits team at events. All duties will be carried out with the direction and supervision of the Traveling Exhibits staff.
IDEAL CANDIDATE Creative thinker Excellent analytical thinking skills Photoshop, Illustrator or In Design experience a plus Experience with SharePoint or Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education or experience in museum exhibits, marketing, communications, or related field 1 year experience with digital marketing, social media preferred
