Right Track is seeking passionate youth workers to support youth as Job Coaches for the summer 2024 internship program.

Assists with organizing, planning, and coordinating programs for participants and communities, including underserved populations. Responsible for training and supporting a cohort of interns, providing mentorship, supporting supervisors, developing performance plans, and implementing program evaluation processes. Participates in the set up and operations of special events. Assists with the enforcement of rules, regulations, and procedures of Right Track. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provides job coaching and mentorship for interns and nurtures a sense of community among interns through group dialogue and team building activities.

Collaborates with the Right Track team on intern recruitment efforts.

Facilitates training sessions for youth.

Serves as the program's liaison for workplace supervisors and provides high quality customer service to employers.

Conducts site visits at worksites throughout the summer to connect with interns and supervisors individually.

Collaborates with work site supervisors to develop action plans for interns struggling with performance issues.

Track & document program engagement and coordinate the completion of program evaluations.

This is a full-time, 32 to 40 hour a week position that is temporary and expected to be from June to August 2024, with flexibility for start date. Hours are generally Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional evenings and weekends. This position is located in the Center for Youth Employment located at 1022 Marion Street and requires regular travel to worksites and trainings.

About Right Track
Right Track is the City of Saint Paul's youth employment program, providing summer jobs and internships to Saint Paul youth. Right Track’s mission is to build Saint Paul’s workforce by providing career-readiness opportunities and work experience for the young people of Saint Paul. Each summer, Right Track provides over 800 youth with summer internships and another 200 school year opportunities, working for a wide variety of organizations including the City of Saint Paul Parks, Urban Roots, Xcel Energy, Children’s MN, State of Minnesota, and many more.

Qualifications

Two years of experience working with youth and/or community residents with diverse backgrounds, including experience implementing recreational, educational, or social programming for youth and community members.

Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License or equivalent out of state driver's license. This position must have access to their own vehicle.
