Information Specific to the current vacancy: The Fleet Services Division within the Office of Financial Services is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and affordable vehicles and equipment to City departments and employees. The division maintains and services approximately 2000 assets. The Technology Systems Coordinator will work closely with staff from Public Works, Police, Fire, and other departments acting as a subject matter expert and administering, managing, and troubleshooting Fleet software and associated hardware.

Typical Duties:

Administers, manages, and troubleshoots fleet management software including writing SQL code, designing interfaces, dashboards, and handling integrations with other software platforms. Assigns, tracks, and tests inventory of PCs, laptops, and associated hardware. Trains staff and troubleshoots issues. Configures and troubleshoots lighting, electrical, or electro-hydraulic systems. Researches and works with vendors, manages contracts, and coordinates procurement with HREEO for software purchases Analyzes data, produces reports, and conducts data analysis. Manages, diagnoses, and performs minor hardware repairs on computers and fuel dispensing hardware. Researches and presents recommendations for software and/or technology upgrades. Additional Information about this position:

Performs advanced-level technical work involving department specific software applications and customer support services for automated information systems. Assesses and analyzes technology problems, troubleshoots issues, coordinates problem resolution and performance improvement plans with City Information Services. Designs and implements procedural solutions and may design and coordinate software solutions. Develops appropriate procedures and processes in support of department-specific software. Creates and maintains user guides, protocols and procedure manuals related to software systems. Provides technical support and training, identifies and makes recommendations to management regarding process and procedural improvements. Coordinates software development and improvement projects for the department. Develops custom reports which measure statistical data related to budget and performance indicators. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Four (4) years experience providing technical customer support services for department software applications and information systems.

An Associate Degree in Business Administration, information services or a related field is preferred and may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required experience.
