Performs intermediate level support to the Recreation Supervisor to include recreation program development, staff recruitment and training, event planning, oversight of Seasonal Recreation Staff, league development, administrative duties, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Recreation Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of seasonal summer staff.
Assist with development, design, and teaching of evening sports skills classes.
Manage and prepare equipment for youth programs.
Organize storage and equipment areas.
Assist with planning for special events to including budgeting, supply ordering, and other needed preparations.
Assist with the implementation of youth sports leagues.
Attend various meetings and events.
Assist in marketing recreation programs.
Various administrative duties.
Other duties or special projects as assigned.
General knowledge of the population served; general knowledge of the techniques, practices and procedures used in coordinating youth programs; ability to maintain required records; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships between clients and employers; ability to objectively evaluate clients, supervisors and the program.
Qualifications
CPR, First Aid Certified. Must be age 18 or older.
