The Production Assistant position at Merrick, Inc. is excellent for anyone looking to work flexible hours, who wants more hours in the spring and summer and fewer hours in the fall and winter, or someone who is retired and looking to earn a little more cash! The Production Assistant works closely with our customer, Par Aide, cutting composite sticks for their yardage markers for golf courses.
This position is responsible for cutting the Par Aide composite sticks at the correct length, as the customer needs. Experience with woodworking tools, such as a table saw, drill press, shaper, miter saw, etc., would be beneficial. In addition, forklift experience or certification would be beneficial, if not, training will be provided.
This position is 20 – 25 hours per week, with fewer hours in the fall and winter. The hours are flexible between Monday – Friday, 7 am – 3 pm.

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this position. The employee must be able to continually sit, stand, walk, and communicate throughout each day. Be able to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, run, reach, push, and pull, regularly move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 60 pounds. Qualifications
Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age. Ability to efficiently speak and read English. Regularly lift and move heavy or bulky objects weighing over 50 pounds. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to provide excellent customer service to clients and business partners. Must pass a DHS background check before hire.
