Job Overview

TCH is currently looking for a Delivery Driver to perform customer deliveries in the greater Twin Cities metro area in a timely and courteous manner. They will be required to follow traffic laws, communicate with proper channels and meet delivery times.

Working Conditions

Drivers will be exposed to all weather conditions. Periodic exposure to petroleum products Sitting 50% of the time, squatting/bending/pushing/pulling/twisting/climbing the rest of the time. Lift 5-50 pounds regularly, 100lbs+ occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver assigned customer orders (including small frame/door, any size hardware) using most efficient travel route
  • Load truck efficiently to match the planned delivery route for that day
  • Handle product effectively to reduce/eliminate damage using proper lifting techniques
  • Correctly secure product, moving straps throughout delivery route
  • Pre-trip truck inspection daily
  • Clean inside and outside of truck on a weekly basis
  • Keep vehicle properly serviced
  • Handle daily transfers between TCH locations
  • Handle daily mail bag drop between TCH locations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of metro area roadways
  • Comfortable driving in all weather conditions
  • Valid Class D license or higher
  • DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Observe and follow traffic laws
  • Good communication skills with all levels of the company and with customers
  • Willing to become forklift certified
  • Favorable results on a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
  • Favorable results from a pre-employment physical and drug screen
