This position will be responsible for managing the City's District Council contracts and community engagement programs. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a program unique to Saint Paul that creates opportunities for residents to best engage with their neighborhoods, engage with city government, and improve the quality of life within neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities: Acts as a primary point of contact between the City and the 17 District Councils Distributes funding to District Councils, including reviewing contract documents and statements of work, tracking contract materials, and approving reimbursement requests Leads special projects related to District Councils and represents the City in conversations with the community Trains Executive Directors and board members, facilitates communications between the City and District Councils Works with City Councilmembers to encourage support of District Council projects Collaborates with the Planning Division to provide guidance to District Councils on how to maintain a current district plan in line with the current Comprehensive Plan

Essential Functions are the functions that the individual holding the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation. Qualifications

Eight years of experience in program administration, at least two years of which must have been in a responsible administrative capacity; overall administrative responsibility for a program, including selection, hiring, or supervisory responsibilities.

Degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for work experience as follows:

Associate Degree - 2 years Bachelor’s Degree - 4 years Master’s or other Graduate-level degree - an additional 2 years
