Come be a part of the Minnesota State Fair competition team! The Agriculture Business Administration Intern is responsible for supporting the Competition department by assisting the team with answering emails and phone calls and processing entry information.

Job Description
• Manage customer relationships answering departmental emails and phone calls in a professional and positive manner. • Process and track entries for the livestock shows, including reviewing entry requirements, performing data entry, and requesting additional information if needed. • General administrative support: process incoming mail, prepare large mailings, make copies, update documentation, and produce a variety of print pieces. • As part of team, staff building reception area and direct visitors appropriately. • Complete special projects as assigned. • During peak activity times, work extra daily hours and periods with no days off. This may include weekends in August. • Assist with tasks as assigned by either the immediate supervisor or other full-time competition staff members.

Job Requirements
• High school diploma. • Strong computer skills. • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. • Self-motivated; detail oriented and proven ability to work independently. • Valid driver’s license. • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
• Have obtained or are working towards an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agricultural communication and marketing, agricultural business, agricultural education, communications or related area of study. • Agriculture background or related experience.
