ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW:
Face to Face Health and Counseling is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing economic and health equity for youth ages 11–24. We do this work through a comprehensive approach that includes housing, mental health, medical, youth justice, education and employment, and community services. We take a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to our work and center the needs of young people impacted by racism and other forms of oppression and marginalization. Founded in 1972, Face to Face serves more than 3,000 youth annually.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Development Associate provides donor relations and administrative support to the department team. The Development Associate is the point of contact for all financial and in-kind donation activities including gift processing (financial and in-kind), donor acknowledgement, database management, direct mail appeal coordination, special event coordination, and marketing materials inventory.

LOCATION: Essential Onsite – This role requires the employee to be onsite.

PAY & BENEFITS:
The pay rate for this position is between $24 and $25 per hour, based on qualifications.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serve as the primary contact and respond to donor inquiries, providing excellent customer service. • Work with the Community Engagement Coordinator to maintain a list of current in-kind needs and promote to the community. • Record, process, and acknowledge financial and in-kind gifts. • Manage the acceptance and distribution of in-kind donations. • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of Little Green Light database by ensuring that all information is kept current and up to date. Troubleshoot database issues. • Train and support department staff in using Little Green Light. • Work closely with the Finance Department to reconcile fundraising and accounting data. • Create weekly and monthly reports on fundraising, in-kind donations, and donors. • Work with the department team to create and distribute fundraising appeals, annual report, event materials, etc. • Coordinate special events and provide support to various committees and volunteers during fundraising campaigns and events. • Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support the creation of marketing materials and external communications including social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn) and emails (Constant Contact). • Keep up to date on trends, resources, and information related to current events, fundraising, marketing and communications, youth, and social justice. • Provide all services guided by the evidence-based principles for helping youth overcome homelessness. • Step in and help to "get the job done" as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: • Ability to perform the duties outlined in the job description. • This job is full-time at 37.5 hours a week. • General work in an office environment. • Significant time spent at a desk and in meetings. • Lift, carry, and stock donations. • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance required. • Face to Face is subject to the government mandate requiring employee COVID vaccination. All employees will be required to get vaccinated.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: • Post-secondary education and/or previous experience in related field. • Minimum of two years of experience in fundraising, donor database management, and event coordination preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with others. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task on a daily basis. • High degree of integrity, ethical decision making and sound judgment; able to honor confidentiality of information. • Excellent computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well databases, virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom). • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
