SEH is currently searching for a talented Water Resources Engineer to join our team in our St. Paul Office!

We are looking for an individual who wants to be part of a team that provides exceptional service to our clients, and we have an immediate full-time opportunity for an Engineer within our Water Resources Practice Center located in our St. Paul, Minnesota office. Responsibilities

Responsibilities include supporting and working alongside members of the Water Resources team and the Rochester Civil Engineering team by leading analysis and design of stormwater management systems for public and private developments, stormwater BMPs, stormwater conveyance systems, preparing drainage reports, and assisting in NPDES program stormwater compliance. Responsibilities may also include project management, mentoring, interfacing with clients, and leading project-based teams, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 2+ years of previous experience in water resources engineering. Previous project experience in the areas such as hydrology studies, hydraulic modeling, open channel hydraulic design, storm sewer systems and multi-disciplinary drainage projects. Previous experience with software programs such as HydroCAD, ArcMap, and HY-8. Previous experience and working knowledge with programs such as GIS and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software. Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.; Occasional overnight travel will be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with watershed district permitting in the Twin Cities metro and/or municipal permitting in Rochester area. Interest and experience in mentoring other water resources engineering staff, and/or serving in a supervisory role. Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Previous experience with software programs such as HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, P8, SRH-2D, and Geopak Drainage. Previous experience with 2D Hydraulic Modeling.
