Information Specific to this Position: The Planning and Economic Development Department is seeking a permanent Grants Manager to oversee grants management processes.

Primary Responsibilities: Performs expert level, professional and supervisory work in the administration, coordination, oversight, and management of grants for community development projects and programs such as U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)'s CDBG, HOME and ESG grant programs. Manages and coordinates grant projects and programs. Ensures compliance with state, federal, and agency regulatory requirements; adheres to City policies, procedures, practices, and standards. Supervises the preparation and submission of grant, program, and funding applications. Directs the preparation and implementation of grants with operating departments and outside agencies. Advises senior staff, management, City officials, and external agencies regarding overarching grants plans and issues. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree and six years of progressively responsible experience leading grant program administration and compliance. Additional experience may be used to substitute for education on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Grant compliance experience with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Uniform Guidance.
