Our Cooks assure that our students eat better so that they can learn better. They prepare and serve three meals per day year-round. At the Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center, operated by Education and Training Resources (ETR), we have creative and caring staff who make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth each and every day.
Responsibilities
Cooks work in the campus cafeteria to prepare and serve meals that meet dietary needs and health standards. • Ensure proper setup of foods on serving lines and serve foods • Adhere to guidelines for food safety and proper food handling • Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen and dining areas • Direct and mentor work-based learning and culinary arts students
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, two years of related experience, ServSafe certification or ability to become certified, and valid Minnesota driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
