JOB SUMMARY:<br> Face to Face Health and Counseling is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of youth ages 11–24. We offer health care, counseling, and programs for homeless youth. The Recording Arts Specialist assists clients in developing their own music, predominantly hip hop, in our on-site studio.

This position is 6 hours a week spread over 2-3 days, preferably in the afternoon.

PAY & BENEFITS: This is an hourly position at $20-23 an hour based on qualifications. Face to Face also offers part-time employees Sick & Safe leave and access to a 403b account.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist clients in developing, recording, and editing their own music in the SafeZone studio, both as individuals and in groups • Coach and mentor youth in developing their music (predominantly hip hop) • Maintain Face to Face Recording studio, including managing equipment and recording software • Make recommendations for improvements or changes to the program based on youth feedback and interest • Create and maintain a welcoming, friendly, and supportive environment for youth participating in the program • Record participation in the program in SafeZone database • Establish healthy and appropriate boundaries with youth • Support healthy adolescent development of youth • Create flyers and other materials to promote recording arts program and events • Provides all services guided by the evidence-based principles for helping youth overcome homelessness.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience creating, recording and editing music, including familiarity with equipment and software needed • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • High reliability and integrity • Positive attitude and willingness to do what it takes to meet youth needs • Passion for music and working with young people • Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment and involving others when necessary • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: • Ability to perform the duties outlined in the job description • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities typical of an office environment • Face to Face is subject to the government mandate requiring employee COVID vaccination. All employees will be required to get vaccinated.
