Johnson Screens is seeking a highly motivated sales engineer to help manage the territories of US and Canada as a Business Development Manager for their Water Process Group. This outside position offers a tremendous growth opportunity. The position will report directly to the VP of Sales for the industrial & Architectural Group. The right candidate will use excellent sales, communication and presentation skills to effectively manage his/her sales territory. The key to success in this position is proven sales ability, relationship building skills, process investigation capabilities and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Selling Johnson Screens products and services to Industrial and municipal end users. Mainly intakes, Underdrains and Water Treatment equipment
- Presenting technologies to consulting engineering firms in order to get them specified in upcoming projects.
- Managing manufacturers’ reps, agents and distributors and evaluating their performance in promoting Aqseptence Group’s business.
- Working with integrators that package equipment and components in the design and construction of water treatment systems to incorporate Johnson Screens.
- Being the eyes and ears of Johnson Screens in the territory and reporting on customer acceptance, market trends, competitor activity, etc.
- Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies of Johnson Screens.
- Must know the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Perform various other duties as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Qualifications
- BS degree in engineering or other related technical discipline
- Knowledge of the water and/or wastewater treatment market
- Ability to develop engineering solutions on projects
- Experience calling on municipal and industrial customers
- Ability to make technical presentations to consulting engineers
- Experience managing manufacturers’ rep firms
- Basic technical knowledge of process systems
- 10+ years successful direct outside sales experience
- Exceptional communication and follow up skills
- Self-motivated, organized and able to practice good time management
- 50% - 80% travel within territory
- Occasional out-of-territory travel required for sales training sessions
- A good and safe driving record • Allowance to enter power and industrial plants
