To determine product and process conformance in accordance with the Quality Management System.
Responsibilities
• Provide inspection support for quality plans, incoming, in-process and final products. • Document and communicate product and process non-conformances via established reporting methods and by effectively dialoging with shop employees, supervisors, managers. • Provide basic measurement support as assigned, using hand tools and specialized equipment/processes. Examples include: NDE, LPD, CMM, Optical Comparator, etc. • Use technical documents including blueprints and quality control plans. • Support 3rd party and customer source inspectors. • Collect and assemble quality data including Mill certs as required by customer contracts. • Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position. • Perform various other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
• 1-3 years manufacturing experience in metal fabrication processes • Vocational/Technical degree or equivalent preferred • Good written and oral communication skills • Familiarity with numbers, measures, fractions, basic math and control charting • Basic understanding of welding acceptance criteria • Basic understanding of welding symbols and quality acceptance criteria • Use and control of measuring instruments • Basic Computer Skills including Microsoft® Office, SAP, and some data analysis using Excel spread sheets • Should be able to work closely with fellow employees in a positive manner • Understand and comply with all HSE, Compliance and other Company Policies. • Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position. • Perform various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager within the physical constraints of the position.
