The Workforce Innovation Board & Workforce Solutions Release 2021 Annual Business Report

May 10, 2022

The Workforce Innovation Board (WIB) and Ramsey County Workforce Solutuons (WFS) proudly present their 2021 Annual Business Report.  Explore the stories and data that showcase the innovative leadership of the WIB and the outstanding efforts of staff and partners. The report also highlights several key shifts in the way services are delivered and efforts to leverage connections within the community to collectively build a more inclusive economy.

Despite the continued challenges of the pandemic and the extremely tight labor market, WFS served approximately 9,000 job seekers in 2021. While most of these services were delivered through traditional county-funded workforce programming, special American Rescue Plan Act funding was used to serve residents in Ramsey County Community Career Labs and Service Centers, and as part of the Right Track Plus project which was done in partnership with the City of Saint Paul.  While many customers continue their engagement into 2022, almost half of the program clients were either placed into employment or received training.  A wide majority of those served were Saint Paul residents.

WFS and the WIB are committed to advancing the county’s goals of cultivating economic prosperity and enhancing opportunities for all job seekers and businesses.  Thank you to the WIB, partners and WFS staff for supporting of these goals as we work together to build the connections that strengthen our community.   Read the 2021 Annual Business Report
