PROCUREMENT EQUITY SUMMIT
POSITIONING NATIVE AMERICAN OWNED BUSINESSES FOR SUCCESS IN GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING
The Department of Administration’s Office of Equity in Procurement (OEP) and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) are offering a free half-day webinar event targeted for Native American-owned businesses in celebration of Native American Heritage Month.
This free event, “Positioning Native American Owned Businesses for Success in Government Contracting,” will take place on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 (9:00am to 1:00pm).
Invited speakers for this event include Commissioner Alice Roberts-Davis of the state’s Department of Administration and Darren Osborne from PEDCO PTAC. Topics to be covered include an overview of the state’s contracting with Native American-owned businesses, a presentation on doing business with the state, a live demonstration of some of the technology used by the state for registering as a potential provider of goods and/or services, locating and responding to opportunities, and applying for certification in the state’s Small Business Procurement Program.
We will also highlight resources offered by many organizations we have partnered with on past events. Invited resources include: MnDOT’s Office of Advancing Equity, DEED’s Small Business Development Center, the North Central Minority Supplier Development Council and the Small Business Administration.
Wrapping up the day with “Office Hours” after the event, staff from the OEP and PTAC teams, as well as from some of our invited resource partners, will be available to answer your questions and provide additional information on our programs.
