Minnesota Food And Ag Giants Refine Goals For Food Initiative
16 Oct 2020
Some of Minnesota’s biggest food and ag companies are joining forces to tackle global warming and other major issues that may threaten the world’s food supply.
On Friday, economic development group Greater MSP Partnership formally announced a new set of objectives for MBOLD, an initiative aimed at preparing the food and ag sectors for the future. The announcement was timed to coincide with Global Minnesota’s World Food Day 2020 Conference.
Leaders from Cargill, General Mills, Target, and other big-name food and ag companies sit at the helm of the initiative. They’ll help determine MBOLD’s direction going forward. The new objectives announced Friday are: improving water and soil health, developing more environmentally friendly packaging, conquering food insecurity, boosting entrepreneurial thinking in the food and ag sectors, and fostering new talent in the industry.
