Learn & Earn: Human Services Program
Merrick Community Services, in cooperation with our partners at Hired and the Karen Organization of Minnesota (KOM), are proud to announce our Learn & Earn Human Services Program. This program will provide participants ages 18-30 with career-readiness skills, technical training, exposure to different types of human services pathways, such as Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, Mental Health, Medical Office Administration, Psychologist, Sociologist, Adult/Residential Services Worker, Addiction Counseling, Community Outreach, Advocate, and Family Support Worker. This is just a partial list of careers in the field. If you find a career you feel falls under the Human Services category, we would be happy to help you explore it and advance in this area. We have numerous partners we work with to enable us to assist you in finding a new career at the end of the general training and internship periods. Professional development, and other employment and life skills are also included in the training. Professional work experience such as shadowing opportunities, along with a paid internship are included, and additional support services if needed.

Prerequisites:
- Must be between 18-30 years old.
- Must be a resident of Ramsey County.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Have a serious interest in Human Services.
- Preference will be given to low-income individuals with barriers to employment and education.
