The Fill Plant Laborer is responsible for performing a combination of job duties associated with the industrial gas and supply business. The position will safely move and fill compressed gas cylinders and support the overall responsibilities within the plant and delivery departments with high efficiency and accuracy. This position is required to work two plus Saturdays per year.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist drivers with loading/unloading their vehicles and record cylinder types and quantities • Properly bar code and label cylinders or tanks • Ensure cylinders are properly reconditioned and secured • Perform cylinder inspections identifying surface defects and leaks • Fill cylinders with numerous gases such as Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, CO2, etc. • Fill cryogenic and other compressed gases from bulk source to cylinders according to customer orders • Mix gases according to vendor and customer specifications • Complete cylinder paperwork while comparing them to vendor information • Maintain organization of the plant to ensure safety of all employees, vendors and visitors • Paint cylinders when needed • Ensure routine maintenance on various plant equipment is completed

Other Responsibilities: • Make deliveries to customers when needed • Perform a variety of special projects as assigned by supervisor • Send cylinders to be tested according to company specifications

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills: • High School diploma or equivalency • Prior industry experience or basic knowledge of gases, cryogenics is preferred • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience • Must be organized, have good reasoning skills, math aptitude and time management skills • Ability to make decisions based on facts and attain precise set limits • High attention to detail when dealing with tight tolerances and standards</p> <p>Job Specifications/Requirements: Ability to stand on your feet 7 to 8 hours a day with lots of walking, twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, sitting and repetitive motions. Frequent lifting of 10-20lbs is required, may at times lift up to 75lbs. Reoccurring pushing/pulling 150lbs. Ability to work indoor/outdoor with hot summer and cold winter conditions where high noise levels are possible. Willingness to travel as necessary for training and delivering products.
