Ever-Green Energy is looking for a team member to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs and reporting processes that will ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible work environment. Lead all compliance efforts, ensuring agreement with applicable regulatory requirements and company procedures, including minimizing EHS-related risk to Ever-Green Energy and its affiliate companies. Be a consistent steward of the health and safety of Ever-Green staff. Duties also include providing support to the company’s Risk Management and Business Insurance programs and related ongoing activities.

Responsibilities
Overall, this position manages and develops strategies for the EHS function to ensure safety and compliance and mitigate risk while defining long-term strategic goals; motivating the team to successfully manage company and customer expectations and deadlines; and aligns processes and procedures across all locations. The team member will provide oversight, technical expertise, training, and guidance to ensure compliance at multiple company locations with all applicable local, state, and federal regulatory obligations and requirements which achieve best-in-class industry standards and on health and safety matters at all locations. Participate in in broader company risk management program efforts, such as physical security reviews, insurance program, evaluating existing and new site requirements, creation and revision of programs, enterprise risk assessment and action planning as well as the company’s business continuity and disaster recovery efforts, including serving as a member of the emergency response team.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements to be successful in this role: • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Technical Field, or Business with commensurate technical experience or related degree. • Obtain and/or maintain relevant professional certifications (CHMM, CSP, CEM, PE/PG, etc.) • Strong compliance experience required, including expertise with federal and state regulations such as OSHA, EPA and state and local regulatory requirements. • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the implementation of EHS programs within an industrial or operations environment, along with experience maintaining their compliance. • 5+ years’ experience in department and staff leadership. • Experience in supporting risk management programs. • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and presentation skills. • Demonstrated experience investigating and managing injuries/claims/procedures. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience creating and facilitating training programs. • CPR/AED Certified.
Preferred qualifications include: • Experience in an energy plant environment.
