Job summary - UV Parts Printing - Apprentice Operate and maintain Mimaki UV printers to produce accurate, high-quality graphics on rigid and flexible materials. Prepare jobs, monitor print quality, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot basic equipment issues while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities 

Our Training will provide you with the ability to meet the key responsibilities AND Grow! 

  • Set up and operate Mimaki UV flatbed according to job specifications.
  • Select print files (check dimensions, resolution, color, and layout before printing.) 
  • Load, position, and secure printing jigs; review jig once placed for part position. 
  • Run test print and adjust settings to meet color and quality requirements.
  • Inspect completed work for print uniformity. 
  • Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance, including printhead-area cleaning and other procedures specified by the manufacturer. 
  • Identify print or machine problems, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate repairs when needed. 
  • Keep the printer and work area clean; follow ink-handling, equipment, and workplace safety procedures. 
  • Coordinate with production or finishing staff to meet deadlines and job requirements.

  • Mechanical Aptitude - Low to Moderate Comfort Range .
  • Ability with a willingness to learn. 
  • Ability to focus and follow instructions. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Good hand eye coordination. 
  • Ability to handle small parts or other materials as required. 
  • Able to stand for extended periods.
