The Senior Project Manager will expand the STAR team’s capacity to manage a high-volume portfolio of more than 150 projects annually. This position will serve as the lead subject matter expert for the team’s most complex STAR-funded economic development, housing, arts, cultural, and capital projects. The Senior Project Manager will independently guide projects from application through closeout, provide technical expertise to staff and stakeholders, and help strengthen program processes and customer service. Responsibilities

Here’s what you can expect to do:

  • Manage a portfolio of complex STAR-funded projects from application and contracting through implementation and closeout.
  • Coordinate project plans, contracts, funding, budgets, compliance requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a primary resource for applicants, developers, grantees, City departments, funding partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations for City leadership, elected officials, advisory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project staff while resolving complex issues and improving program processes, policies, workflows, and customer service.

Qualifications

Position Requirements A Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, or a related field, and two years of experience as a Project Manager or four years of experience in a development project management area or equivalent.
