Description
Most days the crew is in someone's basement, breaking concrete, trenching the perimeter, setting drain tile and gravel, pouring back the slab. It is physical, technical work in a confined space. Saws are loud. The job is dusty and the homeowner is upstairs. We tarp, filter, and clean every day because their house is also our jobsite.
Crews run year-round. Twin Cities winters are not a reason to stop work, they are a reason to plan it differently. We work indoors most of the time. Outside work (regrading, French drains, exterior excavation) shifts to the parts of the year that allow it.
We do not run subcontracted crews. The people on the truck are on WPNE's payroll. The crew lead the homeowner met at the quote is usually the same person running the install.
Responsibilities
The work is hands-on and physical—drainage, excavation, demolition, concrete and general jobsite work. We train the waterproofing side from scratch.
Qualifications
We're looking for people who are dependable, comfortable doing physical work and interested in learning a skilled trade. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are important for the role.
