The Como Park Zoo and Conservatory education team is excited to announce an opening for a Residency Education Specialist position. Our team creates dynamic experiences that inspire curiosity, foster appreciation, and encourage action to protect our natural world. As a Residency Education Specialist, you’ll play a key role in bringing these experiences to third grade students — with frequent travel to schools across Minnesota as part of our high-impact Residency Program.

Responsibilities
Here’s what you can expect to do:
- Work a school-year schedule of 32 hours per week (September–May) with benefits.
- Travel throughout the state, including regular overnight stays when serving Greater Minnesota, to bring environmental education directly to students.
- Deliver hands-on, interactive lessons as part of Como's high-impact Residency Program focused on tropical rainforest ecosystems.
- Lead four-day residency experiences at Como or in schools, helping make high-quality environmental education accessible to students in both the Metro Area and Greater Minnesota.

Qualifications
Position Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience working in formal or informal educational settings.
- Must possess a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
