The position serves as an event management assistant to coaches, life skills facilitators and program administrators to promote the Lewis Sports Foundation’s mission to serve youth. The person works with the President and Board of Directors primarily in spaces that serve youth. Events are located at sports and recreation sites in the Twin Cities metro area.

Responsibilities

  • On-site support for lead coaches and program staff. 
  • Assist coaches with event plans and student organization. 
  • Assist in facilitating one or more life skills leadership presentations to children ages 5-17.
  •  Support and facilitate various LSF programs and events that promote its mission and vision.

Qualifications

  • Highly effective interpersonal communication skills with youth. 
  • Highly effective time management and organizational skills .
  • Highly creative and motivated working with youth who represent various cultural backgrounds. 
  • Events demand availability of 3- 8 hours. 
  • Events scheduled periodically from June 15 - August 20. 
  • High School diploma required or must be in senior year. 
  • College education experience preferred. 
  • Youth studies, kinesiology, sport management, liberal studies major or similar background focus. 
  • Must have one’s own reliable transportation. 
  • Wear appropriate clothes for a variety of events. 
  • An agreement form is to be signed, and a background check may be requested.
