Pay: $16.37 per hour plus free parking or bus pass.

Schedule: Intern will work 10-12 hours/week. Requires a minimum of one day per week onsite for internship session, preferably Tuesdays.

Position Summary the Marketing Intern will support the museum’s Marketing & Communications team in promoting the museum as a place for engaging, playful learning opportunities for children and families.

  • This role will focus heavily on conducting research on potential markets, audiences and partnership opportunities to help drive museum visitation and expand community reach. 
  • The intern will gather and analyze data and compile insights into reports that will inform strategic marketing efforts. 
  • The intern will also assist with updating media and community partner databases.
  • The ideal candidate is curious, organized, detail-oriented and eager to learn more about marketing and communications in a mission-driven environment. 
  • The candidate must be comfortable and confident conducting ‘cold call’ outreach via both phone and email.

The exact duties and projects will be determined by mutual agreement of the intern and museum staff. All duties will be carried out with the direction and supervision of Marketing & Communications staff.

  • Ability to organize time, follow directions and complete tasks in an effective manne
  •  Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Previous coursework/experience in marketing or communications Interest in museum or nonprofit marketing or communications
