The IT Manager ensures the reliable operation of all IT-related systems and equipment across Mississippi Market's three locations, including POS systems, phones, printers, and scanning devices. This role supports the daily needs of the business by maintaining system functionality, resolving technical issues, and coordinating updates in line with organizational requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. The IT Manager also supervises one direct report, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality IT service and performance.
In addition to maintaining current operations, the IT Manager plays a key role in preparing the co-op for the future. This includes improving how data and processes flow across departments and identifying technology solutions that increase efficiency and support informed decision-making. Under the direction of leadership, the IT Manager champions practical tools-such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and responsible AI-to streamline workflows, reduce manual processes, and enable staff to focus on higher-value work. Success in this role requires strong collaboration and relationship building with teams across the organization to ensure technology supports staff, operations, and strategic goals.
Location: 622 Selby Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55104 (Will travel between locations)
Schedule: Current shifts available may vary and can include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours to meet department needs. Flexibility required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities
Specific areas of accountability include IT service and support, resource management, project management, implementing strategic priorities, security, policy development, vendor management, training and contributing to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. This position is also responsible for collaborating with Mississippi Markets administrative and operational functions (HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Purchasing) to ensure strong organizational alignment and communication.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, and database reporting; experience with SQL; proven ability to provide multi-tiered technical support and resolve hardware, software, and system issues in a timely and user-friendly manner; ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
Networking & Infrastructure: Demonstrated superior understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, routing, VPN technologies, wireless networking, firewalls, network segmentation and advanced network configuration for workstations and servers, backup and recovery procedures
IT Security & Compliance: Demonstrated knowledge of IT security standards and best practices; proven track record of maintaining compliance and implementing secure systems and protocols
IT Leadership: Proven ability to lead IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and process improvements; supervisory experience, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation; demonstrated ability to manage vendor and third-party partnerships
Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbally and written including ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical users with clear instructions; ability to remain calm, professional, and optimistic during challenging situations
Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service, build positive relationships and a responsive, service-oriented IT culture
Prioritization and Time Management: Proven ability to organize, prioritize and effectively manage competing demands and changing priorities; skilled in delegating tasks; the ability to balance priorities and manage time to effectively meet deadlines while remaining calm under pressure
Process & System Design: Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing IT processes, systems, and workflows to meet current and future organizational needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Retail Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with retail IT systems and infrastructure
Project Management: Experience managing or coordinating moderately complex projects
Microsoft Power Tools: Experience supporting automation or workflow improvements using Microsoft 365 tools including Power Automate and Power BI
AI: Experience using AI tools to enhance work outcomes
Data Management: Experience in database programs and reporting, specifically Crystal Reports
Retail Operations: Understanding of COGS, margins, and retail pricing
