The City of Saint Paul is excited to introduce the Right Track Scholars Program, an incredible opportunity for young people to gain real-world work experience, develop critical professional skills, and help shape the future of public service in our community. This 10-week paid internship program offers hands-on experience in the public sector while connecting participants to a cohort of like-minded peers and transformative training opportunities.
What you can expect to do as a Right Track Scholar:
Contribute to high-level projects within a City of Saint Paul or Ramsey County department. Build essential workplace skills such as communication, equity and inclusion practices, and public speaking. Participate in weekly professional development sessions with a supportive peer cohort. Explore diverse career pathways in public service and expand your professional network. Earn a competitive wage while gaining hands-on experience in a meaningful role. Right Track Scholars Program Details: Duration: June 2 – August 10, 2025 (10 weeks) Schedule: 38 hours/week, Monday–Friday (8:00 am–5:30 pm), with some evening/weekend opportunities depending on placement. Compensation: $20/hour Structure: Weekly 6-hour professional development sessions focused on skill-building. A kickoff event to start your journey and celebrate your role as a Right Track Scholar. Qualifications
Must be 18 years old and no older than 24 years old by June 1, 2025. Must be enrolled and have completed one year in a post-secondary institution by June 1, 2025. Must live in Saint Paul. Meet household income criteria OR have a barrier to employment (See Supplemental Questions for the household income criteria and barriers to employment.)
