Who is HAP Transportation? HAP Transportation has been around since 2010 and is a part of a larger non-profit organization that serves the immigrant and refugee communities. We drive for area charter schools, and we are happy to say that we transport some of the best-behaved students around! Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities Safely transport children to and from school and on field trips according to scheduled times and routes. Operate the school bus or van in a safe and effective manner at all times in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life. Maintain order and security on the bus and obey all laws, regulations, and rules of conduct. Maintain discipline on the bus, and document any behavioral/discipline issues Ensure that the school bus or van is in good operating condition, at all times Maintain fuel level at a half tank in order to keep the vehicle at maximum efficiency and usage. Complete a thorough inspection of the bus or van before every trip. Accurately and thoroughly complete a Pre-Trip Inspection form that is signed and dated and submit to delegated staff person. Perform minor maintenance duties as well as clean the bus or van as scheduled and/or required, including keeping bus free of debris, sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.
Qualifications
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications; Drivers are required to meet all DOT requirements including maintaining a valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass drug test, background check and driving record check.
Must be 21 years of age or older and have had a driver's license for three or more years
1 year of school bus driving experience preferred
Valid Class B CDL license with school bus and passenger endorsements (training available, please inquire)
