We are hiring an Outreach and Crisis Intervention Supervisor in our Office of Neighborhood and Safety. The position provides work direction for a team involved in city-wide crisis intervention and outreach efforts and participates in the City response efforts fostering healthy communication with community members and public safety officials.
Here's what you can expect to do in the position:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assign team members for community engagement and support citywide safety goals. Develop procedures and policies for the Outreach and Crisis Intervention team, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local laws, and city policies. Supervise, provide technical support, and manage the performance of team members. Prepare and present data reports to internal and external stakeholders. Support team members by intervening in and de-escalating crises within the community and providing direct outreach when necessary. Connect residents with appropriate City or County services for ongoing support, resources, and follow-up.

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Safety, Public Relations, Emergency Management, Business Management or related field AND At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in public safety, outreach, or crisis management. AND Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License or equivalent out of state driver's license. AND Possession of CPR/First Aid certification and NARCAN training or completion within 6 months of hire.
Relevant work experience to the above degree can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. A Master’s degree can be substituted for one year of work experience.
