May be required to come into the Stassen building in St. Paul, MN or any other location located in Minnesota for team meetings, in-person trainings, and occasionally based on business needs.
Responsibilities
We're looking for a learning and development specialist to join Revenue's growing learning and development team known as Employee Development Services (EDS). In this role, you will assist with the development, design, implementation, and evaluation of training opportunities, programs, initiatives, and events. You will serve as the agency's learning management system coordinator, support the team's SharePoint efforts, coordinate budget, purchasing, and inventory needs, and serve as hardware/software coordinator for the team. You will help the EDS team contribute to creating a positive employee experience for all Revenue employees.
Qualifications
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications One (1) year* of experience in supporting training and development functions:
Assessing organizational needs preparing training materials Evaluating training Communicating with and supporting learners Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, instructional design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effectiveness. Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
*A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Development (HRD), Organizational Development, Education, Communications, or related field will count as 1 year of experience.
Must have reliable transportation or valid class D driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications One (1) year of experience in supporting training and development functions:
Using web-based conferencing tools, such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx. Using collaboration and productivity tools, such as Microsoft Teams, OneNote, OneDrive, Planner, and Forms. Using Enterprise Learning Management System (ELM), which is the State's learning management system. Developing and maintaining SharePoint sites, organizing lists and files. Creating processes and tools/resources that result in team efficiencies. Designing and developing training materials, such as learner guides, job aids, infographics, etc. Physical Requirements Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
Additional Requirements Prior to an offer of employment, a background check will be conducted.
