Seasonal position April thru September; and, August thru November; in our Public Works Division. Duties include, but not limited to street patching, traffic control, park maintenance (mowing, weed whipping, branch and leaf removal), general labor, small engine and equipment maintenance and miscellaneous errands. This is a physically challenging position that requires some lifting. Approximately 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Performs manual labor and heavy lifting under all weather conditions.
• Assists full time employees in various maintenance and repair tasks (may include, but not limited to: mowing, clipping, trimming, planting, cleaning, painting, operating equipment, traffic control, street patching, shoveling, filling, miscellaneous errands) in the Public Works department.
• Operates various motorized and non-motorized equipment.
• Drives City vehicle to various job sites.
Qualifications
Must be 17 years or older to apply Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license with good driving record Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
