Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital (we are part of the HealthPartners organization as a separate nonprofit organization.) Responsibilities
Position is eligible for a $1500 Sign On Bonus!
As a Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing competent, compassionate and respectful patient care including:
Promoting patient independence and focusing on rehabilitation and improvement of patient abilities Answering call lights promptly Obtaining vital signs as directed by the nurse and reporting out of range vital signs immediately Giving scheduled showers/baths Water pass and nourishments / snack pass as directed and recording intake amounts Completing room set up for new patient admissions Passing trays at mealtime and assisting with feeding as needed Recording food and fluid intake and output Assisting with patient personal laundry; bagging, labeling and bringing to facility laundry or bagging for take home for family to clean Charting nursing assistant flow sheet during each shift Rounding on patients regularly Stocking supplies accordingly (gloves, blankets, etc)
WORK SCHEDULE: .6 FTE (48 hrs/2 weeks) 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with every other weekend
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a Nursing Assistant course
Must be on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry & must maintain current certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One year experience in a healthcare setting
