The Employer Technical Services (ETS) team is one of several business units in the Retirement Solutions division that provides a range of processing and servicing tasks focused around serving our external clients - - employers who sponsor 401(k) plans. This position includes both internal and external customer servicing interaction and provides opportunities to be part of work groups and projects to share feedback, develop process enhancements and to grow your own skills and knowledge in 401(k) servicing and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform compliance testing for 401(k) retirement plans using the ASC and OMNI computer systems. This includes validating data provided to Securian and working with the client to resolve any discrepancies.
- As applicable, perform calculation of annual employer contributions, utilizing ASC and Microsoft Excel and coordinating with the client and other Securian business units to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare annual 5500 filing forms and applicable schedules. This includes coordinating to ensure the client can sign and e-file the form before the applicable deadline.
- Provide service to both internal and external customers, including backup to Account Managers, email replies, phone servicing, research, and documentation and resolution of issues.

- Understanding of pension plan documents, systems, and processes
Physical job requirements:

- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
- Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse, and computer for approximately 4-6 hours per day
- Ability to utilize phone for approximately 2-4 hours per day
- Ability to perform simple grasping including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout the entire workday
