Hawkins is looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist.  Working closely with the Quality and Technical Services teams and using knowledge of regulations, formulations and documentation, this individual will manage documentation and ensure accuracy of communication to customers regarding specifications and certificates of analysis. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve product specifications, product data sheets and certificates of analysis.
  • Support the process of creating and maintaining formulations and bills of material in the JD Edwards ERP system, and support the JDE Quality module.
  • Create and validate Product Data Sheets for new products
  • Test the methodology upload for the Quality module.
  • On an annual basis, review specifications and certificates of analysis.
  • Review customer specifications; maintain change control for customer specific product numbers
  • Ensure compliance in documentation with regulatory agencies.
  • Support the Technical Services team on lab-based projects

Qualifications

  • BS degree in technical field (e.g., Engineering, Chemistry, Biology) required
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance organizations (e.g., FDA, EPA, USDA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Understanding of IPEC and USP compliance
  • Strong understanding of chemicals and manufacturing process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, build cross-functional relationships, and listen actively
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
