Feedback sought on barriers to success

We want to make sure everyone continues to have a fair chance to work with Ramsey County. And we recognize that businesses owned by historically marginalized groups, such as women and minorities, may face unique obstacles when trying to get contracts for construction, professional services and other work.
To assess the county’s current situation, we’ve teamed up with 15 state and local governments in Minnesota to conduct a disparity study. A disparity study looks at what barriers may exist, how they affect businesses and possible solutions. The final study will be published in August 2025. The results of this disparity study may allow the county to build and access additional tools to address any identified disparities.

We will share a draft of the disparity study on this page on June 24. After sharing the draft, we would appreciate your feedback.
Keen Independent Research has led the creation of the study, and they will host virtual forums open to the public. You can register to participate by selecting any of the dates listed below.
