The Minnesota Dual-Training Pipeline supports employers in agriculture, advanced manufacturing, health care services and information technology in building their own dual-training programs, pairing on-the-job-training with formal education that results in the completion of a degree, certificate or industry-recognized credential. Funding through the Dual Training Grant is now open through April 16, 2021 to fund up to $150,000 per company (capped at $6,000 per employee) to pay for education expenses. Details and application materials are available here. For those companies interested in applying for funds, there will be a grant writing workshop on March 18th from 10am-Noon .

The Minnesota Registered Apprenticeship Expansion (MNRAE) through Apprenticeship Minnesota at the Department of Labor and Industry has made available $150,000 in Related Technical Instruction grants to support employers interested in forming a new registered apprenticeship program, or supporting the expansion of current training programs. Applicant sponsors may be eligible for up to $1,000 for each new registered apprentice. These funds could be used for the initial start-up costs related to supplies, materials, instruction and program infrastructure of related technical instruction. Existing registered apprentice programs may also be eligible to expand into new apprenticeship occupations or grow current programs.
