A new survey of manufacturers expressed optimism at the future of the industry despite previous pandemic-related setbacks.
The survey, conducted by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, showed that most manufacturers expect recovery in the coming year — with 91% of respondents expecting production levels to stay the same or increase in 2022. Interestingly, more respondents noted problems with labor and domestic supplier issues than with overseas suppliers and COVID-19 issues.
