MnDOT-DEED Highway Heavy Construction Training and Job Placement
Free training and job placement for qualified individuals!
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) are offering highway construction cement mason training at NO COST to qualified individuals. This 240-hour, 6-week course includes a combination of curriculum-based classroom instruction, hands-on use of tools and equipment, videos and engagement with industry experts. The training program is offered to prepare qualified candidates for employment in MnDOT-associated highway construction projects.
Training dates: April 13 – May 22, 2026
Program assistance may also include help with purchasing basic tools and work clothing, and cover specific expenses associated with finding and keeping a job.
