We are currently searching for a talented Utilities Electrical Group Leader to join and grow with our Electrical team!

At SEH, our Mechanical and Electrical engineering teams deliver efficient, reliable and stable systems for buildings across the country – they design solutions knowing a reliable mechanical and electrical system is the backbone of a highly functional facility. You’ll work on everything from skyscrapers to small tenant improvements, utilities and water/wastewater facilities, grocery to retail and laboratories to educational facilities. The team focuses on projects ranging from simple studies to complete documentation of systems for construction.

Responsibilities

Role Description:

Opportunity to use your leadership skills to develop and execute the roadmap for the electric utilities group over the next 1, 3, and 5 years. Make introductions with clients to present service capabilities. Develop project opportunities and prepare proposals for work. Manage project deliverables for client expectations and planned profit. Develop a team: interview and hire the right team member to support the group’s roadmap; supervise the electric utilities group team members; support the career development of the group’s team members; strategically support the groups growth across the company’s service area.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college. Licensed Professional Engineer Technical experience in preparing design documents for bidding and supporting construction administration services. Strong project and staff management skills. Familiarity with the electric utilities market in the St. Paul and surrounding areas Interest in developing and leading a new group dedicated to electric utility projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site project visits, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

9+ years professional experience, focused in the electric utilities market. Project Experience with electrical transmission and distribution systems and equipment including substations, medium-voltage transformers, engine generators, etc. Familiarity with both underground and overhead distribution Experience with electrical utility planning, condition assessments, and studies Familiarity or experience with substation design, Renewable Power Generation projects including Utility-Scale solar, and hydropower / hydroelectric power projects
