Position Overview

  •  Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do, and this role puts you at the center of how Saint Paul gets seen, experienced, and celebrated. 
  • The Content Coordinator is a core member of our marketing team, responsible for bringing Saint Paul's story to life across our digital channels by writing, editing, publishing, and maintaining content that gives locals and visitors a reason to engage with everything our city has to offer. 
  • This role directly contributes to:
  • Driving tourism and events by promoting what's happening in Saint Paul
  • Connecting the industry through inclusive and collaborative storytelling
  • Boldly sharing Saint Paul's story in a way that reflects the people, places, and experiences that make our city unique
  • This is a role for someone equally comfortable crafting a compelling blog post and managing a production calendar. 
  • We're looking for a writer who is also an organizer, and a storyteller who genuinely cares about the city they're covering.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Write, edit, and publish content across Visit Saint Paul’s owned channels, including the Go List and Insider newsletters, website blogs, itineraries, and seasonal features
  • Manage and maintain the online event calendar, ensuring listings are accurate, timely, and written to engage
  • Actively seek out stories from Saint Paul’s neighborhoods, cultural communities, and local businesses that deserve a wider audience
  • Support promotional pass campaigns and seasonal content initiatives from concept through execution
  • Maintain content calendars, production schedules, and recurring workflows across the marketing team
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and collaborate on content that reflects the full diversity of the Saint Paul experience
  • Monitor content performance and bring ideas for improving reach, engagement, and storytelling

Qualifications

  • A strong writer and storyteller who can adapt tone across platforms and audiences
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with a talent for managing multiple deadlines without dropping the ball
  • Curious about Saint Paul: its neighborhoods, culture, businesses, and communities
  • Committed to equity, inclusion, and authentic representation in the stories we tell
  • Comfortable balancing creative work with the operational side of content production
  • Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or communications
  • Experience with CMS platforms and basic SEO principles
  • Tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing experience is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and access to an automobile required
  • Working Environment
  • Full Time, hybrid schedule: in-office Tuesday through Thursday, remote Monday and Friday
  • Occasional evenings and weekends required
  • Regular collaboration with internal teams and partners.
