The City of Saint Paul Public Works Department is hiring an individual to perform advanced supervisory work planning, scheduling, assigning and supervising work involving the construction, and maintenance of streets alleys, curbs and sidewalks.

Responsibilities
Here's what you can expect to do:
-Plan and schedule work creating work orders and detailing crew assignments, tasks, equipment, routes, and/or locations.
-Responsible for inventory and work with equipment vendors.
-Resolve the most complex problems and issues associated with the work.
-Align goals and work plans with department and City workplans and goals.
-Establish and prioritize mid-long term work plans and goals.
-Determine, implement, and schedule training and safety programs.
-Document employee performance, provide recommendations, and address performance issues.
-Participate in the interviewing and hiring process.
-Promote a welcoming and inclusive work environment for all staff members.
-Communicate effectively and respectfully with staff and community members, across diverse cultures and all backgrounds.
Qualifications
-Three years of experience as a Public Works Supervisor II or six years of experience as a Public Works Supervisor I or equivalent.
-Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver’s License or equivalent out-of-state driver’s license.
