Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is hiring Summer Camp Instructors!

Information specific to this position:

Duration: June 9 – August 29, 2025 (minimum three weeks required) Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~32 hours per week Compensation: $750 weekly stipend

Training:

Orientation and camp training are offered on May 17–18, 2025 or May 31–June 1, 2025 (with some scheduling flexibility), plus a $300 training stipend. Here's what you can expect to do:

Prepare and teach assigned camp curriculum Deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences Ensure quality, safety, and consistency in all camp activities Manage classrooms and outdoor settings at the zoo and conservatory Build positive relationships with campers, parents/guardians, and volunteer assistants Adapt and creatively deliver curriculum while problem-solving on the fly
