The Saint Paul Fire Department is looking for a Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and oversee the maintenance and repair of 23 Fire Department buildings.
Here’s what you can expect to do:
Perform supervisory work planning and directing the maintenance and repair of the equipment, grounds, and facilities of the Fire Department. Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance and repair projects, providing management and area supervisors with progress reports and information. Instruct personnel in equipment safety, OSHA regulations, proper disposal of hazardous materials, and best practices. Make personnel decisions including hiring, disciplining, and training staff. Information Specific to this Position: This position is located in the Fire Department Maintenance Building at 676 Bedford Street, St. Paul, MN 55130. The regular work hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. This position is expected to be on call for emergencies at the fire stations/department buildings.

Qualifications
Requirements may be met by one of the following: Eight years of experience in Fire Department building construction, maintenance, and repair Eight years of experience in building construction or building maintenance involving construction and repair, including three years as supervisor of construction projects or job superintendent; or The following can be substituted for two years of non-supervisory experience:
Two year college degree or equivalent in building construction or building project management Licensed in one of the following trades: Electrician, Operating Engineer, Pipefitter, Plumber, Power Limited Technician Journey level status as a Carpenter, Mason, Painter, or Trades Laborer Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
Must possess and maintain a First Class C Boiler’s License from the State of Minnesota.
