Here’s what you can expect to do: The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Coordinator responsibilities include managing and coordinating all CAD-related activities, ensuring all projects are completed within set timelines, developing standards and protocols and ensuring staff follow City/Public Works policies and procedures regarding CAD. Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Information Management, Computer Technology or a related field and six (6) years of related work experience. Work experience must have included project management, work coordination, budget management, and cost/benefit analysis that would allow one to gain an expert knowledge of one or more technical platforms relevant to the vacancy.
Work experience must also include three (3) years of spatial and relational database management, programming and development of industry standard geographic information systems.
A combination of education and experience to equal ten years or more can be used to qualify for the position.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a CAD manager or similar role Advanced knowledge of design and visualizations software such AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc. Project management experience and working knowledge of drafting techniques and engineering terminologies
