The City of Saint Paul Police Department is hiring an individual to perform clerical and word processing work of a complex nature requiring the exercise of independent judgement.
Here’s what you can expect to do: Update all unit rosters and phone lists. Assist with new employee onboarding processes, maintain and update quarterly reports, and review and update TASS for unit employees. Prepare and review monthly bank statements for P-Card and Innovative. Using multiple databases, manage grants, weekly statistics and reporting. Upload BCA Lab Reports to evidence.com and notify Sergeant/Officer to do supplement. Check voicemail and email daily with follow up responses to community members and internal employees. Process all incoming and outgoing mail, maintain office equipment and supplies, send out letters and correspondence from the unit commander.

Information Specific to this Position: This position is expected to work in office five days a week at a Saint Paul Police Department facility from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate for these positions possesses excellent clerical skills and is detailed oriented.

The eligible list created from this assessment will also be used to fill Office Assistant III positions as they become available in various departments within the City.

Qualifications
High school diploma or General Education Development certificate (GED) and four years of clerical/administrative experience, two years which must have been as an Office Assistant II, or equivalent.
Two years of post high school education can be substituted for two years of clerical/administrative experience if the curriculum included course work related to the work performed by the Office or Executive Assistant classes.
